Fourth of July

Our Fourth of July was absolutely wonderful! We spent it with our good friends Claire and Devin and their family. We are so grateful they invited us to spend the weekend with them since we didn't have any plans! We had so much fun going to the small town parade {Holland and Irelyn's first parades!}, eating yummy food, going out on their boat, watching fireworks. and just hanging out with great company!

Holland and Ava at the parade! {Thanks for the picture Claire!!}

Race, Holland, and Ava playing in the grass {Thanks Claire!!}

Playing at the river. It was so fun watching Holland spin and dance in this gorgeous lighting!

I could stare at Irelyn's beautiful eyes all day long. Also, I love the fist sucking stage!
I accidentally stumbled upon the camera settings that create these awesome silhouette photos and I'm in love. I wish I had had Race take some of Holland and I!

Headed out on the boat to watch the fireworks! {Thanks again Claire!!}

I attempted some firework photos but they didn't work out very well since I didn't have a tripod AND I was on a boat. I am excited to try again next year though!

I am so grateful for this wonderful country we live in and for the freedoms that we enjoy!

Crazy Life

Life has been pretty crazy over on our end ever since graduation. And I still haven't even posted about graduation! I'll put a couple of pictures in here and do a quick update but real updates are going to have to wait for a bit! Right now Race and I are in the middle of moving down to Chandler, AZ because Race got a job! We are excited that he has a job but we are not excited to be leaving beautiful Flagstaff. Hopefully someday we can move back because we really love Flagstaff. Moving is crazy because as we move out our cousins are moving into our place which means our little apartment is a mess right now. Since I am super pregnant I won't be able to help with much of the actual moving so after we finish packing I actually get to go to Oregon with my family for a couple of weeks while Race and my brothers move us into our new apartment. When I get back we will unpack and try to get our life organized before our little lady makes her arrival. The next couple of months are going to be quite hectic! I am excited though! I'm super excited to go to Oregon to see all of my family because I am not sure when I will be able to visit everyone after the baby comes. Also, I love Oregon. I grew up there and last summer Race was able to come to Oregon with me and it was a wonderful trip. It's actually the trip that got me started on blogging {again-ish}. You can check out posts about my last Oregon trip here. Anyway, I'm excited to spend time with family and not have to stress about moving just yet. I'll update about the Oregon trip and hopefully have lots of good pictures. Race and I spent last weekend at a photography workshop by Jessica Downey {Our awesome engagement and wedding photographer} and finally learned how to use our fancy DSLR. So I am going to take it to Oregon and try to get some practicing in so that when our baby comes I can take lots of cute pictures of her!

Well, that's about all for now! Here are some pictures of graduation and some pictures Race and I took at the photography workshop last weekend--enjoy!!

Well, that's all for now! Life will be crazy for a while but we are loving it and figuring out this whole life after college business. It's an adventure! I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day!

Oh Christmas Tree! {Two Years}

I wasn't into blogging much at all last year so I didn't post pictures of our Christmas tree. So I figured I would put some of those up before putting up pictures of this year's tree!

Enjoy one of my favorite non-traditional Christmas songs while you enjoy a little bit of a picture overload!!

December 2010
{Our first Christmas together}

Now on to this year's Christmas tree decorating adventures!

I LOVE this time of year! :]
And I love our new camera! I am still not very good at taking pictures but Race is having tons of fun with it! {It was more for him than anything!}
We have a couple of traditions for decorating our tree {and I know you all want to hear all about them so here goes!}:
1. We buy/make one new ornament per year.
2. We always put the star on last.
3. We always listen to Christmas music on the record player.
&
4. We always take lots of pictures!

What are some of your Christmas-tree-decorating traditions?
And do you have a favorite ornament?

P.S. I used MyMemories Scrapbook Software for all the collages above and you can still use the coupon code from this post to get some awesome deals! Check 'em out!

Happy December Everyone!!

I am Back! {Weekend in Photos}

There is so much I need to catch up on but it will stress me out if I try to get it all out in one post. So I just wanted to say that I'm back for real now! Thanksgiving weekend was absolutely wonderful! We loved spending time with both of our families and getting lots of rest! Here are some pictures!!

Oh, Race and I got a Canon Rebel T3 on Black Friday so we've been loving taking pictures with it! Race is way better at getting good pictures than I am but I'm still having lots of fun with it!

Cute nieces playing in the "castle" at Gram and Granddad's.

This is my face at one in the morning. No makeup. Exhausted. And deathly white.

My sister might kill me for this but I think she's super cute!
