Random BlogWorld Stuffs

I am fairly new to the world of blogging. I started my blog a while ago but I decided to really post on my blog every day, read other people's blogs, and comment on other people's blogs about a month and a half ago. It has been so much fun getting to know people and finding so many fun blogs! It's so fun to read people's blogs and relate to them through things that we have both been through as well as things that we are going through right now. It's fun to get ideas from people's blogs and it is so much fun to look forward to having kids, being done with school, and so much more through reading people's blogs who are at this point in their lives. 

Recently in blogland I have had some super sweet people give me awards and it is so exciting to know that people read, and like my blog! So today you all get to hear seven more random facts about myself because I got another Versatile blogger award {see first one here} from the sweet Jessica of her blog Live Laugh Love {Thank you Jessica! And everyone else, please go check her wonderful blog out! I love reading her random thoughts and she is a very talented writer. :]}. I was also given the "I Dig Your Blog" award. That one was from the wonderful Gentri Lee. I have been reading Gentri's blog for quite a while and I always love her sweet comments and her sweet responses to my comments on her blog. She is lots of fun, super stylish, and is throwing a Utah blogger meet-up with some other Utah bloggers that any of you in Utah should check out. {I wanted to go so badly and even looked into flying out there but school is just not that nice to me!} Finally, I was tagged in a fun blog game by Ashley from her blog Sloanbook! I love Ashley's blog all about life with her husband and her adorable dog Katinka {You should check out her most recent post and see where they got that name from! I love the story!}

So, first, thank you to all the wonderful ladies that sent me these fun things!

Now, here are seven {more} random facts about me:

1. I am in the process of starting another blog with a couple of my sisters-in-law. My sister-in-law Jackie had this great idea to do a blog with some of the gals from the family where we post about affordable style, crafty things, sewy things and the like. We are in the process of making the blog cute {thank you to my skilled sister-in-law Nikki} and getting some posts up for everyone to read! I can't wait to tell you all about it in a few days! 
2. I just started an on-campus job that I love! I work in an office answering phone and dispatching messaged to General Maintenance Managers across campus. Sounds cool, eh? Haha. 
3. I used to meditate every day. And no, not the mmmmm...mmmmm...hands in the air, legs crossed kind of meditate. I would simply find time every day to sit, relax, and not think or stress about anything. I would just be for a few minutes. I think that I am going to start this again because it made my days so much more manageable. 
4. I dream of having a piano in my home someday. I am not by an means a good pianist but I love to play the hymns and primary songs. It's calming and I really want my children to grow up around music. 
5. I love babies and can't wait to have my own someday. Want to know a guilty pleasure my mom and I have? {Yes! I knew you would!} My mom and I both love to buy baby clothes for my future children. I already have a drawer full of adorable clothes for my future adorable babies! 
6. I want to learn to sew so that my kids can have the coolest Halloween costumes ever! 
7. I am already planning Christmas presents thanks to this post by Yours Truly, Madison! I am SO SO excited for Christmas! :]

Once Upon a Time

I was checking some comments on my blog when I came across a comment from Daryl of her blog Roots, Wings, and Other Things. In this comment she told me that she had nominated me for my first ever blogging award! The Versatile Blogger. :] Yay for first ever awards in blogland and thank you so much Daryl for nominating me! {You should all head over and read her post about her nomination. It's cute! As are all of her posts! And if you ever need some ideas for DELICIOUS meals you should look there as well!}

Anyway, the rules of this award are as follows: 1. I must thank the award-giver and link back to them in my post. {Check!} 2. I must tell you wonderful readers seven things about myself. 3. I must give this award to up to 15 recently discovered bloggers. And 4. I must contact those bloggers and tell them the exciting news!

So now I will begin to cover numbers 2-4!

Here are seven random things about myself:

1. I am in love with the family in The Cosby Show. I have mentioned this show before because Race and I watch it ALL. THE. TIME. but I am seriously obsessed with that family. I want to have a family dynamic like them someday. And you should all watch the show to see what I mean!
2. Lindt chocolates are my weakness. {If you've never had one go out and try them. I like the red packaged ones. And...if they become your weakness as well I am sincerely sorry...kinda.}
3. I bought an iPhone two years ago and it may not have been the most financially smart decision but I am in love and don't think I could ever go back. {If you know of any awesome apps you must tell me about them!}
4. In high school I joined the dive team although I had never gone off the high dive before. Smart, eh? Now that I'm done with diving I am once again afraid of the high dive.
5. I am short. {5'1/2" to be exact} I don't know if you all knew that or not...I am not sure how well shortness comes across in writing. Haha. Just kidding. I don't know how well it comes across in pictures though.
6. I adore Zooey Deschanel. I am so excited for her new show to come out. {T-minus 5 days...I think.}
7. I am quite skilled at doing hand stand walking. Also, I can't lick my elbow. Not at the same time of course. Although maybe I should work on that! Race came up with those last two for me that's why it turned into two rather than just the one. :]

1. This is not a recently found blog but I have always loved my old roommate Kylie's blog. She writes about life as a newlywed, yummy recipe she makes, cute crafts she makes, and she has an adorable etsy shop where she sells cute headbands and belts {made by her best friend}. Of the many blogs that I read I often save Kylie's for last partly because I know her but mostly because I always love reading her posts. They are cute and profound and just overall awesome!
2. Kaycie of the blog {Redhead} Memories. Kaycie was my first guest poster ever on my blog! And I love visiting her blog. She is a newlywed {like me!} and is living in Las Vegas with her husband. She blogs about taking pictures, yummy recipes, being a newlywed, and other fun things! I learned how to properly wear my towel on my head after showering from her! Haha. Super random but also super good to know. Kaycie is really fun and just about the cutest redhead I've met in blogland! Go and check her cute blog out!
3. Finally, for now I would like to nominate Ashlyn of Fowliters Forever. I love Ashlyn's blog. She posts about WHATEVER catches her fancy. Whether that happens to be yummy food she makes, her adorable outfits, adventures with her husband {and other awesome people in her life}, literally anything that she deems interesting. I love that about her blog! And I just happen to find everything that she finds interesting/funny interesting/funny as well. So I guess that helps! Go over and check her cute blog out!

30 Day Fun Challenge

Alexis of www.alexislaughs.com had the great idea to come up with thirty fun things to do for yourself over the next thirty days.

Here are my 30 things that I am going to do over the next thirty days:

1. Make a cute hair accessory for myself. 
2. Read a book outside.
3.  Take a nap. 
4. Read a book while taking a bubble bath. 
5. Paint my nails/toenails. 
6. Go on a walk around downtown Flagstaff. 
7. Write Race a love note {make it cute}
8. Wear an outfit I feel SEXY in! 
9. Stay up late to read in bed with Race. 
10. Make and eat a delicious dessert. 
11. Go see a romantic comedy in theatres. 
12. Go to Zumba at the new Rec Center with a friend. 
13. Finally use the wax lips Race and I bought on a date FOREVER ago. 
14. Take pictures of everything I do in a day .
15. Do my hair super cute {curled, fancy up-do, just anything other than my typical high ponytail/bun}
16. Plan a "fancy date" with my husband. 
17. Go star gazing. 
18. Take "First Day of School" pictures with Race. 
19. Stare at my gorgeous wedding ring and list {in my head} all the reasons I love Race. 
20. Make a skirt.
21. Wear the skirt I made. 
22. Plan and/or go on a group date with friends. 
23. Play tennis/racquetball with Race.
24. Wear my new swimsuit {$6 at Old Navy!}
25. Go on a bike ride. 
26. Get my hair trimmed or cut. 
27. Have my sister-in-law/best friend pluck and shape my eyebrows. 
28. Buy a new color of nailpolish. 
29. Play Michael Jackson: The Experience with Race. 
30. Make a smoothie. 

Some of these I stole from Alexis' blog. Lots of them I came up with on my own. All of them I am super excited to do.

You should definitely go over and check out Alexis' blog and then think of thirty fun things you can do to pamper yourself over the next thirty days! I think I might just have to make this thirty day thing a tradition. Every month? Haha. We'll see. :]

Downtown: Bend, Oregon

We explored downtown Bend last week and it was lots of fun. There were lots of cool shops. My favorite was a little antique shop with lots of cool glasses and clothes. I found some gorgeous baby blessing dresses. Unfortunately they were quite expensive.

This was at a cute soda shop. I loved their stools. Also Helena's outfit was super cute.







Jasmine found us these awesome glasses at the antique shop.















Also, I had the comfiest outfit that day. I got the maxi dress at TJ Maxx last week. The sweater was from Last Chance years ago, the shoes were from Kohl's years ago and the bag is my sister's.

Anyway, downtown was lots of fun. We have one day left before we fly out tomorrow evening. I am not sure what we'll do with our last relaxing day before we have to get back to real life. I am going to have to start job searching when I get back. Any suggestions for where I should get a job?
