Introduce Yo' Self!

I am happy to see more and more followers recently and to be getting so many comments from new people! I try to make it to all of your blogs but people slip under the radar sometimes so I want to give you the chance to introduce yourselves! So here's a quick questionnaire to answer and then leave a link to your blog and I will come by! Also, go check out some other blogs and make friends! :] And please introduce yourself whether or not I have come to your blog! I always love learning more about other bloggers and making friends! And if your email isn't unblocked for me to respond to your comments you should check out these tips for figuring that out over on Gentri's blog!

Now answer away!!

1. What is your blog about and how long have you been blogging?
2. What is your favorite book?
3. What is your favorite lunch sandwich? {I may be using this to get ideas because I'm bored with my normal choices...}
4. What is your favorite DIYproject/recipe/hairstyle/etc. that you have tried from Pinterest? {If you haven't done one what is one you want to do? And if you aren't on Pinterest leave your email and I'll send you an invite! It's fun stuff!}
5. What is your favorite blog post that YOU have ever written?

Now I'll answer these questions and leave you with a picture of 'le bump' for good measure!

1. My blog is about my life with Race and our future little one. I try to write about all the little joys in our lives.
2. This is a hard one but one of my favorite books is a true story called Hannah's Gift.
3. My favorite lunch sandwich is peanut butter with honey and bananas!
4. My favorite Pinterest recreation would probably be these headbands that I made a TON of!I need to find a  more spring/summer appropriate recreation to do soon though!
5. This is also a hard one...good luck to all of you! I think that one of my favorite posts is...Somewhere Over the Rainbow  where I wrote about some of my hopes and dreams for my future with Race. It's fun to look and see  how much closer we are to reaching some of those goals/dreams!

Le Bump as of Sunday:

I'm excited to get to know all of you! :]
And give me a few days to get to all of your blogs! But I will be coming by for sure!!

Birthday Post!

Race turned 24 on St. Patrick's Day and I'm just getting around to writing about it! I thought it was a fun, relaxed birthday! Here's how it all went down!

Friday night we started off the celebrations by going to dinner at NiMarco's Pizza in Flagstaff. My brother Knowlton, sister-in-law Jasmine, and Race's sister Teal treated Race and I to dinner. It was delicious! And we got to hang out with our fun families. After dinner we headed home to watch a movie and just hang out for the evening.

Saturday morning I woke up an hour before Race, changed his alarm time so he wouldn't wake up before I was ready for him to, and headed out to the store to pick up some stuff. When I got back my sister-in-law and I put streamers all over the door so he would have to run through them when he came out. I also bought a bunch of balloons in his favorite color {and the color of St. Patrick's Day}!

Race took his dear sweet time coming out of our room so I sat on the floor outside our door for about twenty minutes waiting to take pictures of him when he came out. He showered, talked to his sister on the phone, and got completely ready for the day before coming out to see his birthday surprise. Silly boy!! Once he finally made it out Race, Knowlton, Jasmine, their baby Edmond, and I all headed to IHOP for Race's FREE birthday breakfast. Free stuff is the best!

After breakfast Jasmine and I dropped the boys off to watch a movie while we took the baby to have some girl time and do some shopping. I got Race some more birthday presents and then we headed back to our apartment. The boys were just finishing up the movie and then it was time for video games for the boys and naps for the girls/Edmond. I woke up a few minutes before our dinner plans to get Race's cake ready. Race doesn't really do cake for his birthday though so I made him the dirt pudding he asks for every year. It was delicious and pretty easy! In fact, I'll have to post the recipe one of these days!

Once dessert was ready we headed to Panda Express {probably Race's all time favorite restaurant} and picked up dinner. Then we had everyone over to our apartment to eat, open presents, sing to Race, and enjoy some dirt pudding. We ended the night with another movie and it was a perfect end to a relaxing birthday.

Also, I just realized that Race and I don't have very many pictures together. We're gonna work on that! It was so fun to spend the day focusing on Race and making his day just what he wanted. We didn't do anything crazy exciting but it still turned out to be a lot of fun. I can't believe that next year on Race's birthday he will have a cute little girl to help him celebrate! We will make sure to dress her in lots of green and I'm sure they will both enjoy cuddles and hugs and kisses on his special day! I'm grateful for my handsome man and all that he does for me and for our little one. He is going to be the best dad!!

And finally, come back tomorrow to introduce yourselves! I have gotten some new followers recently and I don't know if I've made it out to all of your blogs to say hi but I want to. So come back, leave me your link, answer some questions about yourself, and all that good stuff! Have a Happy Monday everyone!

Oh, and you didn't think I'd leave without showing off my bump, did you?!
Recently I feel like 'le bump' has really exploded! What do you think?
Also, I am brushing my teeth in this picture. {This was the morning after seeing the midnight showing of Hunger Games so I was in a bit of a rush but had to take pictures of le bump still!}

Seven Questions via Miss Gentri Lee!

I am finally joining in the Seven Questions Link-up on Gentri Lee's blog! You should all join too!

And here's a silly picture to accompany the post!
{On my birthday a year ago I got to kiss this giraffe! :]}

1. You're given the choice between a life with love and trials or loneliness and ease. Pick one.
I would most definitely pick love and trials! Love makes everything so much better even when things are ridiculously hard. Being married is wonderful and there is so much love besides romantic love that I would not want to miss out on. Loneliness just doesn't sound worth it even if life is easy.

2. Would you rather live in Narnia, Hogwarts, Middle Earth, or Neverland?
Hogwarts! I don't know enough about Narnia and I wouldn't pick the other two. I just want to live in Hogwarts land after Voldemort is gone. And I would hope that if I lived there I had magic powers. Because being the only muggle amidst witches and wizards might not be the most fun thing...

3. Think of your dream home... what style is it?
This is so hard for me to figure out! I have about a billion different styles on Pinterest. But I think light and airy and simple would describe my dream home. I definitely like homes with lots of natural light and big windows.

4. What's currently your favorite song or album?
I am not super into music...so this is a hard one for me. I would say that I always love listening to...country music though. That's about as far as I can narrow it down right now. Haha.

5. Who was the last person you hugged?
My husband. :] And what a great hug it was! He really does give the best hugs. They're especially wonderful when I'm being weirdly emotional because of these crazy pregnancy hormones!

6. You have a ticket in your hand, where is it going to take you?
I'm assuming this means plane ticket? It's going to take me to Spain! I really want to go there someday! And I'd explore other parts of Europe from there if I could. My second choice is Japan. And if this isn't referring to a plane ticket then I do have a ticket to see Hunger Games this week and I can't wait!!

7. Who is one blogger you KNOW you'd be BFF's with in real life?
Gentri Lee is one blogger I KNOW I'd be BFF's with in real life! I don't email tons of bloggers but Gentri and I have emailed and Facebook chatted it up and texted and all that good stuff and I better get to meet her someday because we would really be such great friends! Also, I love her name and might want to steal it for my baby! If only I could convince Race to love it as much as I do! We'll see! :]

You've Waited Long Enough!

Here's  the announcement you've all been waiting for! The one we waited 20 weeks to find out! But first some quick bump pics from the day of the ultrasound!

It doesn't really look like there's a bump in this pic but that's just cause the floral hides it really well from this angle. Haha. It's there, I promise!

And now, here's the announcement of.....

We are incredibly excited to be having a girl! We were actually told at our first ultrasound that there was an 85% chance we were having a girl so I was super nervous since that's what I've been thinking our baby was for the past couple of months. And my mum has already bought TONS of baby girl things. The whole ultrasound I thought I was seeing little boy parts but I was never even looking at the right part of the body. Haha. We would have been thrilled either way though. Of course! We are just happy to know what we are having and start really planning and trying to think of names! Wish us luck! :]

The rest of this weekend has been filled with birthday celebrations for Race's 24th birthday. We had family in town to stay at our new apartment and we relaxed and ate lots of yummy food! I'll update more about all that later this week!

The next couple of days we will be enjoying an extended spring break and the foot plus of snow we have been watching fall out our window all day. It is gorgeous!

I hope you all are having a FABULOUS Sunday!

Woah We're Halfway There!

WOOOAH livin' on a prayer!

I love that song. Anyway, moving on! Today I am 20 weeks along or in other words HALFWAY! It's exciting to be halfway and it feels like it went by fast even though we've known for most of the time. I'm sure the second half won't go by quite as fast. Haha. Oh well though!

I thought for the halfway point I'd do one of those nifty pregnancy questionnaire things so I can remember what pregnancy has been like. So here goes!

How far along? 20 weeks! Halfway!

Total weight gain/loss: I think about five pounds gained after somewhere between 10 and 15 pounds lost in the first trimester.

Maternity clothes? One pair of jeans that I have worn twice. They kept slipping down though which I was not a big fan of so I might wait til I'm a little bit bigger before I wear them again. And maternity shirts heck yeah! I have a few that I wore even before I was pregnant. They're just cute shirts!

Stretch marks? Not yet. My mom got them with her pregnancies though so I'm sure I will eventually. I don't plan on buying expensive creams so Race will have to deal with them and I'll do my part to not gain massive amounts of weight all at once. I read that that is how you help to avoid them...so I guess we'll see! {They're supposedly somewhat genetic though so I may not be able to avoid them...}

Sleep: I still usually sleep through the night. Ocassionally I have to get up to pee but that's about it. Some nights I have a hard time falling asleep because of some back pain but that has only happened a couple of times.

Best moment this week: Well it will probably be tomorrow when we find out the gender but before that the best moment was one night I was about to fall asleep when Little Goose started kicking up a storm! So I grabbed Race's hand and he got to feel. That was a fun way to be jolted awake!

Movement: Yes! See question above! :] I love feeling my little one move! If you're around when LG moves I will probably announce every time I feel it!

Food cravings: Still raspberries. But also, Cheetos. Mmm! :]

Anything making you queasy or sick: I'm over most of that but if I don't eat fast enough in the morning I feel queasy/sick. Also, I used to LOVE Capt'n Crunch for breakfast but lately it just makes me kinda sick to think about eating it in the morning. I have been leaning more towards warm breakfast foods.

Have you started to show yet: Heck yes! Although I can still hide it in lose shirts. And sometimes I still feel like I just look a little chunkier than normal. But I LOVE having 'le bump' to show off!

Gender prediction: We find out tomorrow! I can't wait! Any guesses?!

Belly Button in or out? In--I hope it stays that way. But I guess only time will tell!

Wedding rings on or off? On so far. Usually a little looser than normal as well. I hope my fingers don't swell too much--I like my wedding ring!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Not sure how to answer this one. Haha. SUPER happy to be having a baby but definitely moody when I am tired or don't feel too good. I don't feel like I'm that much moodier than before I was pregnant though. I am just a person who needs to be well rested.

Weekly Wisdom: SLEEP whenever you can! Also, dress cute before you're too big to want to wear anything other than sweats. I'm sure I'll get to that point so I'm trying to dress cute now!

Milestones: Mostly just feeling LG move so often! I love it! I have noticed that we have a night owl for a baby! He/she kicks LOTS at night. That might just be when I notice it most though...who knows!

Well, I'll leave you with some bump pics! But yay for being halfway there! I am loving pregnancy right now and really looking forward to meeting our adorable Little Goose! Come back sometime this weekend for the GENDER REVEAL! And make your guesses below!

19 weeks 6 days!
My perspective of 'le bump'

Dressing 'Le Bump' {#2}

This is from a week ago but I was so excited that my bump was showing from the front in the bottom picture! I still have to accentuate it a little bit but this is exciting stuff ladies! Haha. I am having so much fun watching my baby grow! Tomorrow I will be twenty weeks {HALFWAY!!} and Little Goose will be the size of a small cantaloupe! What?! That's crazy to me but oh so cool!

Now on to some pregnancy style!

'Le Breakdown':
Headband: Made by my sister-in-law Nikki
Shirt: Hand-me-down dress from my sister-in-law Jasmine {turned into a shirt by my sister Helena--I was not happy at her for cutting this dress but it worked well for this outfit! Haha.}
Jeans: Old Navy skinnies {$4.50!!} I used the hair tie trick for the first time with these jeans. It kinda worked but I had to do extra loops because it made the jeans a little bit TOO big.

Also, this was one of my first attempts at color blocking! How'd I do?!

Moving Day!

Yesterday was moving day and I wrote up a whole post about it but it disappeared. Race and I changed apartments in our town because we we're going to get kicked out of our on campus apartment after graduation. I know graduation isn't for a couple more months but we wanted to move before then so that I would be able to help a little bit more. And an added bonus of moving now was that we got a really good deal on our new, much more spacious apartment! Anyway, now on to how the move went!

Race's parents came and helped us move everything. Which really meant Race and his dad worked their butts off all day while I worked on unpacking, helped as much as I could before I was too tired {which was not very much helping at all} and Race's mom SUPER cleaned our old apartment so that we can pass the "cleaning inspection" with flying colors! Race's parents also helped us furnish our new place with a beautiful carpet, table and chairs, lots of food, and so much more! We were so grateful to have them up here to help us with this move. We were also grateful to our ward members and neighbors who saw us moving and offered to help. It is so nice to be surrounded by such good people. I hope we have some cool neighbors at our new apartment!

The rest of the week will be spent unpacking, organizing, working {just a little bit since it's Spring Break}, finding out the gender of our baby {Thursday!!} and celebrating Race's birthday with some family coming to town {Saturday}! It should make for a fun, busy Spring Break!

Well, I am going to make this post quick. {I just felt Little Goose move! For some reason I have to tell someone every time I feel LG move but right now I'm working and there is no one else here.} I'll leave you with a couple pictures of our new place and some baby bump pics!

Our new living room with hardwood floors!!

New kitchen with a full size stove/oven and a dishwasher!

Bedroom!
{Not pictured: Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Second Bedroom for LG, Walk-in Closets in both bedrooms, Balcony with storage!!}

Bump picture! {19 weeks 5 days}

How my bump looks to me {plus some hardwood flooring and mismatched socks}

Have a great day everyone! :] And come back tomorrow  for another edition of Dressing 'Le Bump'!!

Dressing 'Le Bump'

Like I said in my last post, I really have been enjoying dressing my growing bump. :] For the most part I have not bought maternity clothes. I got some maternity jeans on sale at Target that I have yet to wear and some shorts at Savers that I also have not worn yet. Before I was pregnant I bought a couple of maternity shirts that I liked just as shirts so I have worn those but that's it! I'm sure I will need more maternity clothes at some point but for now I'm enjoying leggings and skirts/dresses a lot and most of my jeans still fit so far! Thank goodness! Anyway, here's the breakdown of one of my favorite comfy maternity outfits as of late!

Breakdown:
Shirt/Dress thing: Target Maternity {one of the shirts I bought forever ago} $5
Sweater: Old Navy $6
Leggings: Target $8
Shoes: Target $7
Headband: Made by my sister-in-law Jackie!
Necklace: F21 $1.50
Bracelets: Made by my sister-in-law Nikki!

This outfit is so comfy and cute so I've worn it a few times. I try and change it up some but it's pretty much the same thing. I guess more comfy maternity shirts like this one would be great! I'm just cheap so I'll only be buying them if they're on sale. So keep a lookout for me!

P.S. If anyone has some awesome tips for where to buy maternity clothes and stuff I'm all ears!

I hope you all are having a wonderful Saturday!

Spring Break!

First off I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes on my last post! You are all so sweet! :] I had a wonderful birthday spent visiting my family with Race. It was just what I needed. Relaxing and perfect! Now it's almost a month later! Eek!

At 5pm today Spring Break will officially start! Woot! Woot! Unfortunately we aren't doing anything too exciting for Spring  Break this year. We will be spending the majority of the break moving! We are just moving from one apartment to another in Flagstaff but it is still not enjoyable. I have spent the past couple of weeks packing  up our house but it is still not quite finished. Luckily Race's parents are coming up to help us make the move and I won't be expected to do too much heavy lifting because of Little Goose. {Thank you Baby!} I can't wait to have a new, bigger apartment to decorate! I've been Pinteresting it up like crazy to get ideas! Our new apartment also has a washer and dryer and a dishwasher. All things we haven't had in our two apartments so far! We will be living the high life! Ooh! And we have a porch that I want to  hang our hammock up on to read in on sunny spring days! I LOVE hammocks! Anyway, we're excited even though moving is killing our spring break. But, we have some other exciting things coming up/going on so read on!
  • It's been about three weeks since I last threw up!
  • I got my bangs cut! Cutting my bangs helps me from getting bored with my hair and chopping it all off. I am on a hair growing out streak right now! I haven't super chopped it since before my wedding! Just trims! I'm not sure if you all know how big of a deal that is for me but it is huge! I'm taking advantage of pregnancy hormones and trying to grow it even longer! {Anyway, thank you to my sister-in-law Jasmine for cutting my bangs--they are my favorite length right now! Also, see pictures below to see my bangs!}
  • February 27th was the first day I felt Little Goose move and it is the coolest thing ever! I love the little reassurance that Little Goose is inside and growing healthy and strong!
  • March 15th we have our ultrasound to find out Little Goose's gender! I am SO excited and I can't wait to share the news with everyone!
  • For my 16 week baby bump pictures I used this cute little chalkboard to write a little bit about Baby and take some pictures. It was a lot of fun!

  • I'll be halfway on March 14th! {I'll be taking more pictures with the chalkboard!}
  • I'm having a blast figuring out how to dress my little bump! I'm sure that'll change when it's bigger and none of my clothes fit. But for now here are some pictures of my baby bump outfits:

  • AND finally, just two more months til Race and I are college graduates!! I can't wait!
What are you up to for Spring Break if you have it this next week?! If not, what are your plans for the weekend? I hope you are all doing wonderfully and hopefully this month I'll be a better blogger! If I get around to making our apartment look good and decorating Little Goose's room I will definitely be posting pictures! I'm excited to have a room to decorate and put baby stuff in! And once we know the gender I'll be even more excited! Anyway, have a WONDERFUL weekend and I'll be back!
