"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is a song I used to {goofily} sing all the time {with my best friend/sister-in-law}. In fact, we sang it in front of Race the first time I met Race. Haha. Good time! Anyway, later it turned into a phrase I doodled all over my notes in school. When I doodled it all over things it would make me think of all the things I am looking forward to in the future. Things that are "over the rainbow". This phrase has come to mean so much to me and has come to encompass all of my dreams and wishes.
Here are some of the things that I am looking forward to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow":
Graduating college {oh so close!}
Having more time {okay I don't know if this one ever really happens...someday!}
Raising cute babies!
Raising cute babies!
Buying a house and making it our home.
Learning to SEW {totally working on this one now!}
Learning to cook healthy meals for my family {and ones that Race actually likes even though they're healthy}.
Buying a cute dog to be best friends with Race, me, and our children.
Going on vacations with Race and with our future children.
Making memories together {we are definitely already doing this}.
Being pregnant and wearing cute maternity clothes with a cute lil belly {Is this a weird one? Haha. Probably but since I haven't experienced it yet I can be excited for now}!
These are just some of the many wonderful things
I look forward to in our future. But for now I
will enjoy our simple, school filled lives.
Being married is a blast. There is so much
fun now and so much fun to look forward to.
What a wonderful time to be alive!
What do you all look forward to Somewhere Over the Rainbow? And what are you enjoying in your lives now?
Double Rainbow anyone?!
Awe beautiful post! And a live session is cool, just not what I was expecting. I guess I was expecting a play more than just workers saying what they're supposed to say. but it was cool to go room to room, I don't know if you've done that before. the slc temple is BEAUTIFUL! holy cow! but yah. And I want all those things you said, but I guess my biggest one before all those can happen are to find the right guy and to go on my mission :)
ReplyDeleteGraduating college is seriously the best. Also, if you ever decide to come do a live session in SLC, (which is super cool and totally fun; the SLC temple is gorgeous inside) my husband and I could show you the sights of the city. We live a block away from the temple.
ReplyDeleteas much as i do not plan on being married now, i can not wait to one day be with my honey forever!! it's people like you that make me excited for that day to come.
ReplyDeleteThose are all such fun things to look forward to! And the pregnancy one is totally not weird. I want to have a little bump :)
ReplyDeleteLove this post!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to be with that special someone! And I think you know how I feel about having a baby ;)
I can't wait for the day when I really just have to worry about my family and my home. That sounds lazy, maybe, but I love the idea of taking care of my family and keeping my home warm and clean and welcoming. And I love the idea of helping out in the community, and having a garden. Total mommy stuff :)
GORGEOUS picture!!! Um I most definitely can't wait til I can have the excuse of a baby to be this fat hahahahaha ;) Plus maternity always has the cutest clothes!
ReplyDeleteI love this. There are so many things to look forward to in our fabulous lives! :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you have such a wonderful future ahead of you!

Roots, Wings, and Other Things.
I love the live session in the SL temple. We live within in walking distance (although usually drive) of the temple so I really should have no reason why I don't go more! I forget other people don't have the convenience I do!
ReplyDeleteAlso, congrats on graduating soon?! how soon?! how exciting!
I do love rainbows so much!
ReplyDeleteemma!

Good list! I definitely agree with you on pretty much all of those. Especially graduating from college! What's your major?
ReplyDeletesuch a great list!

ReplyDeletei look forward to being pregnant, too. having children? meh. jk, jk. i look forward to all of the above :)
i'm not sure if learning to sew will ever be in the cards for me...too much frustration. haha.
thanks for all of your sweet blogs and comments on my blogs. they are VERY much appreciated :)
What a wonderful post! There are so many things I look forward to in the future, but I feel like I have so much going on in the present that sometimes I forget about it. I almost forget that there are so many great things waiting for me when the time is right.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. :]
Live sessions are amazing. I liked Salt Lake, but I think Manti is better. The sealing rooms in the towers only have room for the sealer, the couple and the witnesses. They are so cool. I like the positive looking forward! I think sometimes I use that term to talk about the things I am nOT looking forward too...like grading papers. :)
