Today I am grateful for my phone. I use it for everything. Mostly for pictures and entertainment when I am bored. But really, iPhones are just so much fun. So that's what I'm grateful for today!

Phone Photos Episode Three

Photos from the new iPhone 4! {Did I even tell you guys I got a new phone?! Well, I did and I'm loving it! I got it about two weeks ago but the earpiece didn't work and I was having to use speaker phone or my headphones to talk on the phone which was super annoying so I exchanged it and yesterday I got a phone that actually works!! Wow, long ramble. Now onto the pictures!}

I give Race head massages when he haves headaches. It's amusing for me and probably more annoying than helpful for him. Especially since I was making him take his own picture. :) Teehee!









Race and I went to YogurtU, the only self-serve yogurt place in Flagstaff. it was delicious, fun, and such a cute little place. Next time I'll take pictures of the inside. I didn't this time because it got all busy right when we got there.

I'm a creeper. This little girl was at the bus stop with her mom and she was so cute I had to sneak a picture! I don't know if you can tell how TINY she is but she was itty bitty but walking and talking and it was adorable!









Finally, one more picture of me and a baby! :) This is baby Ella again. My sister-in-law Amber took this picture and I love it! I'm in love with sweet babies! And it's my favorite when they fall asleep on my chest/shoulder like this!

{Banana+Nutella+Cracklin'OatBran=WonderfulDeliciousGoodness} Tutorial

This is one of my favorite snacks that I wanted to share with you all!
Here's what you'll need:

• 1 Banana
• Nutella
• Cracklin' Oat Bran Cereal {or something else yummy and crunch like granola}
• Butter Knife
• Plate
• A hungry tummy!

Here's how you make this scrumptious snack:

1. Assemble supplies.
2. Peel your banana.
3. Break your banana in half {breaking is better than cutting for the next step}.
4. Take one half of the banana and gently squeeze until you see the top third of the banana separating from the bottom two thirds.
5. Take off the top third of the banana and set aside.
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 with the other half of the banana.
7. Spread Nutella on the larger parts of the banana halves.
8. Add some Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal pieces on top of the Nutella.
9. Replace the tops of the banana halves.
10. Enjoy you yummy snack! {"Yummy yummy! In my tummy!"}

Wonderful Weekend

This weekend was great. My parents came up to Flagstaff to visit Race and I so we hung out with them and I got to chat with my mom for three days straight {usually I just call my mom thirty times throughout each day}. I love my parents. In fact, a year ago on Sunday my Facebook status was, "I love talking to my parents." I told my dad that and he asked me if that is still true. I said, "Of course it is!" Does anyone else just love talking to their parents? Sunday was dubbed wear-a-fancy-hat-to-church day so Teal {Race's sister}, Ellie {Race's cousin} and I went hat shopping and didn't buy any hats because we're cheap and didn't really find anything we loved. But I did get three shirts and a really cute watch! I am loving my watch and hearing the itty bitty tick of the second hand. I know, random. I got some Nutella and have been eating it with bananas and Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal all weekend and all week so far {I'm actually going to do a tutorial on how to make my little banana, Nutella, Cracklin' Oat Bran creation. Mostly it will just give me a good way to test out the "tutorial waters"}. My dad and I played some Michael Jackson: The Experience on the PS3 Move. It was awesome. I love that game. And it may or may not have been some of the only good exercise I got all week. Yeah, I need to work on that. Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend. How were all of your weekends? What was the most exciting thing you did?

Last Summer Weekend

School starts on Monday and I am so not ready. I bought some supplies a few weeks ago but I haven't gotten books, I don't have paper or pens or pencils, and I can't even remember what my class schedule is. I will look it up tomorrow and figure out where all my classes are. Luckily though Race and I will be spending one week in school and then we will be heading to Lake Powell for our anniversary weekend! And all of you will be lucky to have three guest posters on my blog! They will be my first ever guest posters so GET EXCITED!! :]

Anyway, this weekend Race and I headed down to his parents' house with his sister and cousin. It's been a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We got to his parents' house around 10 PM last night and stayed up chatting and then today we headed out to Lake Patagonia. We spent the day in the sun swimming, tanning, kayaking, reading, talking, and eating. It was a nice day {just a little hot} and I loved hanging out with Race's family and relaxing. It has been the perfect way to end the summer.

On the way back to his parents' house we stopped at a restaraunt called Velvet Elvis Pizza Company and had DELICIOUS pizza. We got one called Chicken Saltimbocca which had Herbed Cheese, White Sauce, Roasted Chicken, Prosciutto di Parma, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, Gorgonzola, Asiago, and Mozzarella. How amazing does that sound?! It was super delicious and we downed it super fast.

Anyway, that was our wonderful day and we will be heading home sometime tomorrow. However we will be stopping to see more family in the valley. And then we have to get everything ready for the first day of school. I will be setting out first-day-of-school outfits Sunday night and we will be taking pictures Monday morning. We will look cute. :] It is our last day of college...at least for our Bachelor's degrees. So that's exciting!

Apparently I also got sunburned. I didn't even notice it but then RaceFace pointed it out. And then he so nicely slathered me up with Aloe Vera. Good stuff. :)

Me & My Husband {Tenth Edition}

Continuing the questionnaire from this post:

Question 10: The cake/food: I love food. So tell me about what you had at your wedding!

We really didn't have much food at our wedding/reception. After we got married we had a brunch with all kinds of yummy breakfast foods. It was laid back and delicious. At our wedding reception we had cupcakes, snow cones, dinner mints, and then lemonade and water to drink. I THINK that's all we had but I honestly can't remember. I ate maybe one cupcake and then someone brought Race and I snow cones with lemonade mixed into them. They were delicious! I don't at all regret not eating food at our reception. We spent the whole time talking with all the wonderful people that came to support us in the beginning of our marriage. It was quite the relaxing, low-stress night.

{Sidenote: I have recently been realizing that I am not even close to a food connoisseur like so many other bloggers. I like food just fine but I am not incredibly in love with any foods/desserts. Yeah, I know it's weird.}

I guess I might have Race add something to this post about what he thought about our wedding food although I'm not sure that he really ate much at our reception either. 

Did any of you other married couples realize that you didn't have the time to eat anything at your receptions?    

{Sunday} Outfit Post #2

Cute Sunday outfit again! Plus, I made the cute little lace slip that I am wearing under my skirt! I made one with black lace as well. :] I am going to do a {Kinda Crafty} post on them soon! Not that they are that cute to look at since they are to wear UNDER skirts. Also, I came up with a few things I want to change next time I make them for myself. I still have quite a bit more fabric so I plan on making a couple more with different colors of lace or tulle or something else cute on the bottom. Anyway, here's my cute outfit:

Here's the breakdown:

And yes, I am posing on our bed--it was the only white wall available in our house. Also, would somebody please give me posing tips? I don't know how to pose at all! Also, I am still working on convincing Race that he wants to take pictures of my outfits all the time. Hopefully eventually I can get him to branch out of our house for pictures. We'll see... :] 

Other highlights of our Sunday:

• I made meatloaf for the first time {Race's favorite meal} and it turned out great! I am not a big fan of meatloaf but Race and our cousin-in-law Nick who we had over dinner said it was indeed good. 
• Church was great. I love Sundays. I love being able to look forward to a new week and being able to set new goals. I always feel so refreshed after church on Sunday. 
• Race and I went on a short walk around campus and the weather was perfect. I love Flagstaff. 
• We watched The Cosby Show--Race wants to be just like Dr. Huxtable when he's a father and I can't wait! 
• We had Rice Krispie treats and No-Bake Cookies for dessert.  {Sidenote: My family has called No-Bake Cookies Gorilla Poops for as long as I can remember--who names a delicious food something so nasty? I'm guessing my brothers.}
• Race, Nick and I had some really fun conversations about the future, technology, and other fun stuff. 
• And finally, I took an amazing nap. Sundays are beautiful. :]

I am so far behind with this. But don't worry, I'm still taking pictures. :)



January 20, 2011 Race and I have been living off of these delicious bagel sandwiches for a couple weeks now. Cream cheese, tomato, avocado, and meat on a bagel....can it get any better? I think not. Also Race made me be in this picture cause he said I'm not in enough of them. Haha.

January 22, 2011 We should have had cooler pictures for this day since we tried to go ice skating and bowling with Nick and Ellie but both places were completely full! So instead we came home and just admired the sunset.





January 23, 2011 This is a Sunday picture. We had to give talks. :-/ So this is us after church being super relieved to have that behind us. In our new ward they usually only have two adult speakers so we had to fill up ALL the time after the sacrament! It was intimidating. We did it though. :) Race missed the first half of my talk because he was trying to stop his cut that he got from shaving from bleeding. He heard it plenty of times when I was preparing the night before though.





January 24, 2011 This is one of the triplets and I. :) I put some gel in her hair so her curls would show up more. Isn't she just so cute?!

Jack and Anna, two of Race's cousins were in town visiting Nick and Ellie (Ellie is their big sister).

Their parents drove through on their way back from somewhere to pick them up and to celebrate Jack's birthday. :] So we got to be a part of that. Jack is super funny and watching him and Race interact is quite amusing. Jack turns Race into a little kid. And it lasts for quite a while even after Jack is gone. Haha.

Race and I matched for church! We did this last week also but forgot to take a picture. :[ And I know that this picture sucks but it's the only semi-decent one we had. Also, I hate that there are cords ALL over the ground...does anyone have smart solutions on how to hide ugly cords? Also, Sunday night...after midnight of course...I did some MAJOR cleaning while Race watched some weird documentaries on Netflix. I completely organized under our guest room bed where we had been stashing random junk since we moved in. And then I took everything out of the bathroom cupboards, cleaned them, reorganized everything and then deep cleaned the ENTIRE bathroom! Let's just say I was up late. But, I was very pleased with the outcome. :] And I got to sleep in the next day because school didn't start til Tuesday!!

Race and I slept in for most of the day on Monday since we were up so late the night before. So, on Monday I worked from three to eight and when I got home I updated my iPhone. So that's what this is a picture of. It took FOREVER to update but it was definitely worth it! The new update made it so that you can have folders for your stuff. This is nice because it made it so that I have almost EVERYTHING on one page (It used to be five or six pages long..)! Also, it made it so that I can have a picture in my background. So that's really nice too. I haven't found a super good one yet but I will!

First day of school!

I had to work at 6:30 am until about 8:30 but then I came home and was up and able to make Race a quick breakfast before he headed out to work before his first day of classes. And after making breakfast I was able to catch a quick nap before I had to go to my classes. So far school is pretty good. I like all of my classes and my teachers all seem super cool. I am actually kind of excited for this semester! Anyway, this is just a picture of the pancakes that I made for Race. They burned though. :[ And I think they look kinda gross SUPER drenched in syrup but that's the way Race likes them so it works. :]

A bed picture again. Race is just lying next to me reading while I type all this up. But he very nicely looked over for a picture since I didn't have one for today yet...Oh well! He looks good! He deserves his own photo on here every once in a while. :] Isn't he daaaaang good looking?! I think so!

Well, that's all for now. The weekend is ALMOST here so hopefully we will do something a little more exciting and take pictures of it. Oh! We are speaking in sacrament meeting this weekend...ah! But there won't be pictures of that. Maybe of something related to that though...who knows! Anyway, goodnight!

So, Emma and I went to her parents' place for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful. I really enjoyed getting to relax, spend time with her family, and especially just be with Emma! We did black Friday, but nothing crazy- we picked up a few movies and a set of bath robes... We also drew names for giving gifts this Christmas, which is a tradition for Emma's family. When we got back to Flagstaff, we were really excited to pick out a real live Christmas tree, and decorate it for Family Home Evening. The experience was completed by the vinyl record player and Christmas albums we played. The whole house smells just like Christmas now!! I'm really excited about the holidays, and in no way do I regret that sizable iTunes download of Christmas music a few weeks ago.

Mostly, I'm just really excited for Emma and I to spend our first Christmas together. I set up my work schedule during winter break today, and I will actually have time to relax!! WOOHOO! Emma might not get to relax quite as much, but she will definitely be enjoying the cookies I crank out for the next month :)

Beautiful Things

I'm playing catch up again. But I'll still keep it short and to the point.

1.I am grateful for the color red. I don't know why but red things just make me very happy.






2. This one also relates to the picture above. I love these flowers! They are red gerbera daisies and I love them more than roses by a long shot. And also isn't that vase with red ribbon cute? I think so. :) And the red ribbon was all me!

3. Service. The other night I got off of a long night at work and Race wasn't home from cleaning yet so I made dinner (this doesn't happen very often). Meanwhile Race was out "cleaning" when actually he was running to the store to get me these beautiful flowers. Isn't he sweet?! It is hard to learn to put each other first in our marriage especially when we are both so busy and tired all the time but I think we got it right this night! :)






5. I am grateful for pictures! This is our super cute picture wall at our house. It's not completely finished but it will be soon. We have a couple cute quotes to put in the last two frames. But I love our picture wall. Eventually we will switch out some of our wedding/engagement pictures for pictures of our families but we don't have much to choose from right now.






6. The final thing I am grateful for today is SPACE. We have sooo much space in our home now and it is such a nice change. I'll show you two pictures. First the one of our old apartment and it's messiness and tinyness and then one of our new super spacey apartment.
