Oh Christmas Tree! {Two Years}

I wasn't into blogging much at all last year so I didn't post pictures of our Christmas tree. So I figured I would put some of those up before putting up pictures of this year's tree!

Enjoy one of my favorite non-traditional Christmas songs while you enjoy a little bit of a picture overload!!

Now on to this year's Christmas tree decorating adventures! 




I LOVE this time of year! :]
And I love our new camera! I am still not very good at taking pictures but Race is having tons of fun with it! {It was more for him than anything!} 
We have a couple of traditions for decorating our tree {and I know you all want to hear all about them so here goes!}:
1. We buy/make one new ornament per year. 
2. We always put the star on last. 
3. We always listen to Christmas music on the record player. 
&
4. We always take lots of pictures!

What are some of your Christmas-tree-decorating traditions?
And do you have a favorite ornament?

    Our first Christmas we had so much going on and we lived in a second floor condo with 4 flights of stairs just to get to our front door. We decided not to get a tree, but Ray could tell I was sad. I came home from work one day and he had used twinkle lights and push pins to outline a tree on our wall complete with ornaments push pinned on the 'tree'. It was the best! I can't wait to get our real tree this year tho! Oh, and the picture of the candle with the Christmas lights bokeh is FABULOUS!

    i love, love, love your tree!!!

    It looks so cute and what adorable pictures!!! I love this time of year too and how fun that you make an ornament each year...great tradition! We used to always play Christmas music on the record player too...The Chipmunks Christmas was my pick, love it!

    we're just making new traditions as we go :) nothing set in stone yet!

    cute! Neal is the most nontraditional person. He doesn't want to do anything. SO I do everything alone. And get no pictures because of it.

    i think we are getting our tree on saturday. i'm so super pumped about it!

    and i can't wait to start a bajillion new traditions with hubs this year. i kind of love having special family things you do.

    Disagree! These pictures are awesome and they all look super professional. I especially love the close up of the candle with the tree unfocused in the background, and the close up of the ornament - so artistic!

    aw, yay, christmas is here! We don't have any Christmas Tree traditions other than watching the cats tear down the ornaments!

    and I LOVE that nativity! Cute. I just discovered my angel to my set is missing a hand....the cats terror on christmas is expanding.

    my mom always gets each of us kids an ornament each year too. this year she made me SUPER happy...she got me a lightning mcqueen ornament!! my fav. (:
    love the lights around the waist...too funny but looks like it works!
    thanks for your comment... yeah. can you BELIEVE i have that "weird body skill"??! it definitely gets harder to do as i get older(:
