I'll leave you with this gem of a picture :)

  5. 1. what is your blog all about?
Surviving Culinary School 800 miles away from anyone and anything familiar.

    2. where are you from?
Utah Valley, but at the moment, I am residing in Portland, Oregon

    3. What are you?
I am a human. The kind that cooks. Like, professionally. not just at home. i make hot pockets at home and plop in front of the TV. I used to be the kind of human that dances every day, but that ended along with high school. i hope to pick it back up when i move home to Utah

    4. what's a funny story that your family always tells about you?
When I was really young (like 2 or 3) my mom would get one of her "mothers intuition moments" in the middle of the night, and got up to check on me. I was never in my bed, so her, being the worrier she is, would frantically search the whole house until she found me. i would always be in a different room in the house, either hiding under various pieces of furniture "reading" (i would just create stories for the pictures), or in the kitchen trying to make a past-midnight snack

my mom said one time she came into the kitchen and the stove was on, i had water in a pot, and all the ingredients (butter, cheese, and noodles) were in the water. she asked me what i was doing, and i said "my belly woke me up, so i'm making macawoni"

    5. anything else you want to share with {Race & Emma} readers!
(be warned. this is about to get philosophical and stuff)
    1. don't be afraid to get COMPLETELY out of your comfort zone. that's where you learn the most.
    2. don't take life too seriously. we weren't put here to work 9-5. we were put here to gain life experiences and build relationships with people. don't forget about the people that matter most.
    3. travel, travel, travel. everyone dreams of traveling, but it's rare that people actually act on it. paint a mason jar with whatever country you're wanting to visit, and throw all your extra monies from each paycheck in there. eventually, without even realizing it, you will have saved quite a bit of money. so get out there and explore what this beautiful world has to offer!
    4. love like you've never been hurt.

now that we've bonded through the power of the internet, please hop on over to my little blog :)

thank you dearies :) i hope to see you soon.
